The Berenstain Bears' Sick Days

Rating

Almost good.

If it had some better illustrations, this one might actually be good. All the illustrations in the collection this story was in seem to be somewhat off-model. Either that or the illustrations were never really very good to begin with. I don't know.

Sister Bear is sick. She has a fever. She stays home from school. Brother goes to school. Papa goes to work. This is after the baby Honey Bear was born, so Mama Bear is left taking care of both Sister and Honey and it wears her out, and she's pretty tired, and then later she gets sick because she's been taking care of the kid, and Papa stays home from work the next day to take care of Mama Bear, which is a sweet ending.

The best part: Mama sitting down to read “The Lady Bear's Journal.”

Taking care of sick kids is hard.
