Quick review.

Review:

Two girls are best friends and won't be in the same class at school. They get magically transported to Barbie's house via the website. Barbie tells them they can still be friends. The story seems like it was written to fit the pictures instead of the other way around.

The Little Rabbit Who Wanted Red Wings

Quick review.

Review:

This book sends the wrong message to impressionable children. Basically, when the Little Rabbit gets the titular red wings, his mother and all the other animals reject him as a stranger and he is forced to undo his wish in order to fit in again. It teaches kids that being different is bad. My video review goes into more detail.

Review:

What did I just read? First he's kidnapped from Africa by his "friend", the man in the yellow hat, then he falls overboard in a boat, then he calls the fire department by accident and is THROWN IN JAIL, then he walks on powerlines to escape and flies with some balloons.

The Pout-Pout Fish

Quick review.

Review:

This book sends absolutely the wrong message, in more ways than one. Basically, the main character is upset, and the only thing his "friends" tell him is that he should smile for them, oblivious to the possibility that he might have a legitimate problem of some kind, or that feeling sad is even okay in this aquatic world. They don't want to deal with his feelings. Then a stranger arrives and kisses him on the face, which magically fixes the problem, suggesting to impressionable kids (as other reviewers here have pointed out) that going around kissing people you don't know is acceptable and in fact desirable. My video review goes into more detail.

Review:

Two girls want to buy beads, so they sell lemonade to make money. Everything is provided to them for free, and they fail at selling anything until their brothers help them out by promoting them.

Review:

Surprisingly, slightly racist. Interesting enough to write a longer review. Having princes carry your stuff is some sort of statement.

Zoos are great, but they could be much better. Or, foreigners should live in zoos.
