Topher Payne's "Topher Fixed It"

My friend just sent me a link to Topher Payne's very short series, "Topher Fixed It", at https://www.topherpayne.com/fixed-it. He has done what I thought was impossible: taken bad books and made them good! So far, he's done two books, both of which I know are bad, and are recognized as problematic in many places: "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein, and "The Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister. He rewrites the endings of the books, complete with altered illustrations, and they are 100% amazing. It looks like he's planning on doing the 3rd book in the "horrible children's books" trifecta soon: "I Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch. I can't wait!

If you like my reviews, I think you'll like his book rewrites. And if you don't like my reviews, maybe read his stuff anyway if you want to understand what people like me think a GOOD book is actually like. Although, if you don't like my reviews, I'm not sure why you're reading this instead of doing something you find enjoyable. Life's too short to spend your time reading things you don't like.
