Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes

Rating

Back at it again with the white shoes!

There's not much to it, and what is there is very repetitive. It's about a cat who starts out wearing white shoes and then steps in various things that change the color of his shoes. But he's singing a song, and keeps singing the song, just modifying it to accommodate the state of his shoes. There's a very obvious moral of not getting upset about minor changes. It seems to have been a song before it was a book, and it certainly isn't great literature. It's not very interesting and the repetition would bore me if I had to read it more than once.

“No matter what you step in, keep walking along and singing your song... because it's all good.”
