Not a Box

Rating

Not a bad story.

It's a playful exploration of what you can pretend boxes to be. There's a little rabbit. He wears it as an outfit; he climbs on it; he pretends it's a building. The narrator keeps asking him what he's doing with the box, and he keeps saying "It's not a box!" Then when the narrator finally asks what it is, he says it's a "not-a-box." Very cute. The line drawings are charming and imaginative, and the plot is true to how children love to play in boxes.
